This typical Three Stooges 2-reel comedy, was the third to be directed by former sound engineer Edward Bernds but, a rather weak effort, only the second released.. According to Bernds, the reason for the film's inadequacy was his own inexperience combined with Curly's increasingly poor health. The most popular Stooge of all time, Curly Howard would suffer a debilitating stroke less than a year later and would be replaced by his brother Shemp Howard.
